The Service and Staff were absolutely amazing. Lindsey the Head Chef produced the evening meal as good as any five star London hotel. The presentation and flavour of the meal was first class. The breakfast was also incredibly tasty, and portion size correct for us, but maybe a golfer might require another rasher of bacon! Leon the Italian waiter who served us at dinner was great fun and so polite. The other Lynsey during the day was also very helpful. Along with wee Jock at breakfast, they all made our stay extremely happy. Loved the scenery of the grounds and golf course, absolutely stunning.

I haven't any real dislikes, possibly our bedroom was a little small and basic, but the bathroom was immaculate. A little tired in some of the public rooms, but what you could call shabby chic! My real concern (which had no bearing on our stay) was the wear and tear of the woodwork on the outside windows and conservatory. MacDonald who own this building might just need to do a paint job before the winter as it will be a very expensive maintenance job if they don't.
